Find the perfect Wilmington NC wedding venue

Budget, headcount, ambiance of the space, and what’s included are important pieces of the venue puzzle. While reading reviews and viewing venue websites, use these questions to help refine your search.

What percent of my wedding budget should go to renting a venue? According to planning websites, allocate about 35% of your wedding budget for venue rental. The location not only houses you and your guests, but it also creates an atmosphere and backdrop for beautiful photographs. Going with 35% ensures you have more venue choices without compromising your budget.

What are five things to keep in mind when selecting a Wilmington, NC wedding venue? Headcount and budget are top of mind when selecting a venue. But don’t forget your wedding vision, the guest experience you want to create, and any logistic/comfort considerations (like nearby guest accommodations for out-of-towners).

What do you pick first, a wedding date or a venue? If the wedding date holds significance, prioritize looking at venues with that availability and make a downpayment ASAP. But if you have your heart set on a particular venue, find out what dates are available. A little flexibility on your date can add up to venue savings.
